As the Senior Event Planner, you will organize high profile events while managing a team of event professionals within a global organization.Responsibilities:
* Manage a team of meeting planners
* Act as Lead Planner on select high profile meetings and events
* Establish a conference strategy with the line of business to plan the scope and format of events; establish and monitor budgets and review administrative procedures and event progress
* Source and recommend appropriate venues and suppliers including hotels, destination management companies, entertainment provides, etc. for incentive conferences and business meetings
* Negotiate vendor contracts to ensure maximum cost savings as well as favourable terms and conditions
* Monitor conferences and events to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and resolve any problems that may arise
Requirements:
* 10+ years' experience as a meeting planning/manager within a fast paced travel industry or corporate environment; proven international planning experience
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
* Strong organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple responsibilities to a consistently high standard
* Proficiency in English and Japanese
