Position: Health Insurance Strategy & HTA Principal Specialist
Job Overview:
The Health Insurance Strategy & HTA Specialist will be responsible for formulating and implementing reimbursement strategies for innovative medical devices, with a focus on cost-effectiveness (HTA) and Real World Evidence. The role involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders in Japan, APAC, and globally, as well as medical experts and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities:
● Develop and execute reimbursement strategies for innovative products, primarily focused on the C-class category. This includes preparing reimbursement applications and negotiating with regulatory authorities to secure appropriate pricing.
● Lead the formulation and execution of HTA strategies, working in collaboration with Japan/APAC/Global teams, medical experts, and outsourced partners.
● Participate in industry activities such as AMDD (Association of Medical Device Industries), gathering information on the latest policy trends and contributing to industry proposals.
● Plan, propose, and execute studies utilizing real-world evidence from claims data in collaboration with internal teams, medical experts, and external vendors.
● Provide support for activities related to medical fee revisions.

Requirements:
● Experience in C-class reimbursement applications.
● Japanese and business-level English proficiency.
Preferred Experience:
● Experience in cost-effectiveness analysis.
● Experience with healthcare economics analysis using claims data.
● Experience in contributing to healthcare policy proposals.
● Educational background in science or medicine (university, graduate school, or study abroad experience).
Ideal Candidate Profile:
● Master’s or PhD in health economics or clinical epidemiology.
● Knowledge of clinical development or regulatory affairs.
● Proactive in acquiring new knowledge.
