Position Summary: Medical Affairs Lead
Reporting to the Head of Medical, Japan, this role oversees and directs the Medical Affairs function for the diagnostics division. It involves engaging with scientific communities and Key Opinion Leaders, contributing to evidence generation, supporting educational initiatives, and participating in market shaping efforts. The position requires reviewing and refining marketing and scientific materials, developing effective clinical messaging, and promoting the value of the company's products. The role also involves identifying potential growth areas and working cross-functionally to ensure alignment with regional and global strategies. Additionally, it involves liaising with Regional and Global Medical Affairs to share insights and align on product and technology needs in the region.

Main Responsibilities:
● Provide medical leadership for the Diagnostics division, contributing to annual strategy.
● Develop and implement Medical Affairs Strategy.
● Ensure compliance with Medical Affairs Policies and procedures.
● Coordinate with Clinical Affairs to align clinical data with Diagnostics strategy.
● Communicate scientific evidence supporting key Diagnostics products.
● Identify, engage, and manage relationships with KOLs and scientific organizations.
● Provide clinical insights for local strategy and contribute to global/regional evidence generation.

Education & Experience:
● MD or PhD in a biomedical discipline preferred (not required)
● 3+ years of experience in clinical medicine, lab medicine, clinical pathology, or diagnostics.
● Background in Infectious Disease, Microbiology (culture-based and molecular), and/or Laboratory Medicine preferred.
● Advantageous to have Medical Affairs experience, including medical strategy development and team management.
