With this growth comes the need to drive the business in new ways. To help us with our transformation, we are seeking an experienced leader for the newly－created role of Director, Strategy ＆ Portfolio. You will work closely with the Market Leader, Japan, to help guide and support the transformation and growth of the business. You will also be instrumental in establishing a local market focus on strategic planning and portfolio management. This will involve implementing the international approach to portfolio management, ensuring full alignment with the tools and methodologies and acting as Japan’s advocate for this. The Director, Strategy ＆ Portfolio role is based out of QVC Japan office in Makuhari, Chiba.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Specialisms in Program Management/ Business Strategy / Operational Improvement
JOB REQUIREMENTS
－Fully bilingual Japanese/English, both written and verbal and demonstrated cultural awareness
－Well versed in Program management, and associated tools and methodologies
－Understanding of design thinking and innovation
－Structured （but not rigid） thinker with strong analytical skills
－The ability to adapt to a fast paced and ‘live’ commercial environment with a positive approach, and able to execute with limited information and ambiguity
－Constantly strives for improvements in approaches, processes, systems and overall performance

Experience:
·Minimum of 7 years in－depth strategy work, possibly from consulting background, international FMCG or global retail environment
－Experience working in Japan or managing Japan （or Asia） projects
－Essential experience in large global organizations, going through transformational change
－Must have demonstrated strategic planning, portfolio management experience.
－Experience working with cross－organizational groups to build alignment for projects and vision.
－Experienced working in a multi－cultural/national environment, working with global teams and an enabler of “one team” culture
