A multinational biotechnology company is searching for an Associate Controller with experience of managing large teams.Responsibilities:
* Manage 3 large scale teams that consist of 25 team members, G/L (2 teams), AR/AP teams, 3+ active and dormant entities and 4 different ERPs
* Lead processes to maintain accounting policies, procedures, reports and records
* Manage cash, customer credits, collections, vendor payments, and working capital, safeguard assets
* Lead and manage acquisition integration and strategic/process improvement projects
* Manage relationship with external/SOX auditors, banks, and other external parties; manage audit processes
* Build a cohesive, high-performance Accounting team by providing appropriate coaching
* Initiate and lead accounting process improvements to ensure maximum efficiency
Requirements:
* Working knowledge in USGAAP, JGAAP and Japanese Tax Laws
* Ability to manage a large-scale organisation (20+ people)
* Experience in change management including acquisition integration
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent discipline, MBA highly preferred
* 10+ years' experience in accounting roles
* 5+ years' experience in accounting leadership roles
* Business level verbal and written proficiency in English and Japanese
* Experience with ERP (SAP/Oracle) and analytical tools (Hyperion)
