A leading global provider of solar energy solutions is searching for an experienced Legal Counsel.Responsibilities:
* Structure, draft, review, and negotiate agreements in relation to business and project development activities
* Provide legal advice on and review business development proposals
* Assist with various legal requests with a focus on local and international commercial law
* Engage, instruct, and manage outside counsel activities and costs
* Analyze complex legal issues and deliver proactive and strategic advice to all levels of management
* Ensure compliance with laws and corporate policies and provide compliance training
Requirements:
* Admission to practice law in Japan
* Experience in an international or Japanese law firm
* Experience in at least one of the following areas: commercial, real estate, project development, construction
* Experience in drafting and negotiating international commercial agreements
* Ability and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally
* Fluency in Japanese; business level English
