An international telecommunications group is seeking a new Carrier Relations Manager with extensive knowledge in telecommunications.Responsibilities:
* Negotiate reduced-cost rate sheets and manage spending with key vendors, review company's performance against buying plans and revenue commitments, take corrective action when necessary
* Achieve NetEx savings via circuit term management and negotiation of cost waivers, process requests to vendors for reduction verification and recording savings in reports
* Negotiate and monitor vendor agreements for compliance with internal policies, product service level requirements and industry standards
* Manage contract approval process in line with the internal expenditure and fiscal approval policies
* Manage vendors' adherence to agreements and performance to meet and exceed service expectations
* Build and maintain methods for monitoring supplier performance data for trend analyses, reviewing by (senior) executive officers
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Telecommunications or a related discipline
* 5+ years' experience in working with major carrier providers in the Asia Pacific region
* Experience in account management, negotiating MSAs and SLAs and establishing new vendor relationships
* Advanced verbal and written proficiency in both Japanese and English
* Knowledge of last mile access technologies, data network solutions
