An international manufacturer of medical devices is looking for a candidate for a managerial role at the Financial Accounting & Controlling team.Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain accurate financial statements a d reports for users in a timely manner, ensure that they are compliant with the US GAAP and Japan Accounting Standards
* Develop, implement and enforce compliance with internal financial, accounting policies and procedures
* Manage all SOX-related deliverables and coordinate with multiple departments to ensure SOX 404 compliance
* Recruit, retain and train finance staff members to build a high-performing team
* Manage the full range of the company's accounting operations including inventory accounting, payroll accounting, tax returns, monthly closings and capital assets
Requirements:
* 10+ years' experience in public accounting and private industry accounting at a multinational business, preferably within the healthcare industry
* Advanced verbal and written proficiency in both Japanese and English
* Knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting, Japan Accounting and Tax Standards
* Competency in SAP, Hyperion
