A scientific and academic research company is seeking an External Communications Manager with extensive PR experience.Responsibilities:
* Identify relevant communications opportunities to build the reputation of the business items by developing creative communications strategies
* Shape the perception of the company and its brands, marketing position and business potential via thought leadership, relevance to topics of interest and corporate announcements, working closely with internal communications and branding teams to produce consistent brand messages
* Establishes trust and credibility as a communications partner by advising the business unit with best practices and assisting communications planning, digital amplification and editing processes
* Lead the team to develop, implement and maintain external digital communications channels
* Integrate analytics reporting and measurement with communications best practices
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Communications, Technology, Science, Law or a related discipline
* Experience in managing PR and social media teams, managing media agencies
* Experience in crisis PR, high-level corporate and consumer PR
* Advanced verbal and written proficiency in both Japanese and English
* Understanding of Chinese is a plus
