- A global leader in automotive safety systems is seeking an HR Specialist with extensive payroll and/or compensation & benefits experience. In this role you will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll operations and compensation & benefits for the company in Japan including vendor management, payroll calculations, social insurances, staff housing, and expat benefits.

A global leader in automotive safety systems is seeking an HR Specialist with extensive payroll and/or compensation & benefits experience.Responsibilities:
* Maintain payroll information by developing and managing all relevant systems and directing the collection, calculation, and entering of data for effective payroll management
* Lead all necessary monthly payroll calculations and liaise with payroll vendor to ensure smooth operation of monthly payments
* Manage all aspects of tax, pension, and social insurance payments and calculations for all employees in Japan
* Work with local management to support expat benefits programs
* Ensure compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations
Requirements:
* 5+ years' experience managing payroll and/or compensation & benefits plans
* Up-to-date knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws
* EHS certification and experience with internal audits are beneficial
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Business level English proficiency
