The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing all accounting processes and procedures for the business to ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.

A global manufacturing company is looking to hire a Senior Accountant for a position based in Saitama.Responsibilities:
* Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year end close processes
* Ensure all financial statements and reports are completed in timely and accurate manner
* Monitor material costs and other expenditures and analyze financial discrepancies
* Monitor, advise, and train all general accounting staff
* Handle the audit process and serve as the local auditor; support and coordinate all internal and external audit activity
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance and/or MBA
* 5+ years' accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
* Strong working knowledge of GAAP
* Computer proficiency and experience with ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards
* Intermediate English proficiency (TOEIC 550+ within the last 12 months)
