- A leading manufacturing technology group is searching for a skilled account management or business development professional with a history of success to join them in the senior role of Business Development Director. In this position, the successful candidate will build customer relationships and develop an in-depth knowledge of clients as they grow an international business.

Seeking a bilingual Business Development Director who will contribute to build customer relationships and develop an in-depth knowledge of clients.Responsibilities:
* Develop new strategic alliances with key customers
* Leverage the J-OEM business from regions outside of Japan to grow the business in Japan
* Analyse and understand customer business strategies, future product plans and expansion activities; align company resources where mutually beneficial
* Define business priorities through a broad and far vision of market and technology needs, including initiating and managing business development activities that will strengthen, expand and drive market penetration
* Assist current accounts with the development and execution of product roadmaps; act as a focal point in delivering solutions including concept development, industrial design, manufacturing, supply chain/logistics, services support and reverse logistics
* Support senior management with regard to managing and evaluating key personnel
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences or business; MBA is preferred
* 7+ years' progressively advancing account management and/or business development experience
* Ability to work with internal teams and executive management as well as external customers for mutual benefit; demonstrated mastery of functional knowledge in relation o other functions
* Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference in practical situations
* Native level Japanese; fluency in English (both reading and writing)
