- A global manufacturer is searching for an experienced Senior Tax Analyst to join its team and act as a trusted business advisor to the different lines of business as well as coordinate the implementation of Japan indirect tax related projects alongside the tax manager. The top applicant selected for this role will have prior similar experience and strong working knowledge of local tax laws.

The top applicant selected for this role will have prior similar experience and strong working knowledge of local tax laws.Responsibilities:
* Act as a trusted business advisor to the different lines of businesses in coordination with other team members
* Conduct and review annual Japan consumption tax filing including monthly reconciliation on consumption tax payables and receivables, as well as various local indirect tax returns
* Identify Japan indirect tax risks and opportunities and determine the way forward to mitigate risks
* Assist with deferred tax reporting and US tax compliance reporting
* Assist with documentation and review of the FAS 109 process
Requirements:
* 3-5 years' experience in Japan taxes
* A bachelor's or master's degree
* Excellent knowledge of local tax laws covering both indirect and direct taxes
* Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP) is essential
* Native level Japanese and excellent written and spoken English
* Proficient in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
