This highly professional, specialized position will see you involved in the successful fulfillment of health outcomes research.Responsibilities:
* Develop and oversee health outcomes research strategy for compounds in the company's portfolio; partner with other functions to deliver collaborative work products that align the health outcomes strategy with overall brand strategy
* Ensure quality standards and performance standards for research projects are realistic and attained, and studies are in conformance with the principles of medical research
* Effectively communicates status of projects to management and key business partners
* Actively participate in shared learning opportunities
* Link technical expertise with business unit knowledge to influence and affect cross-functional initiatives
Requirements:
* An advanced degree, e.g., a PhD, MD, or PharmD/master's degree with relevant experience in an appropriate discipline, e.g., economics, epidemiology, health administration, health services, medicine, pharmacoeconomics, psychology, statistics, or another related science (significant previous training and experience may substitute for the formal degree requirement)
* The ability to participate with confidence in direct communication with non-Japanese associates through daily conversation and presentations
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability work effectively in a team-oriented/cross-functional environment
* The ability to think and act globally with a customer focus and a solution orientation
* The ability to travel domestically and to international locations
