An excellent opportunity to join a technology company as Legal Counsel has arisen, and the business is seeking an experienced professional.Responsibilities:
* Manage legal business matters
* Support the sales team, professional services team, and other members of the sales and marketing organization
* Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of reseller and end user license agreements, professional services agreements, SOWs, and other agreements
* Advise HR in handling general employment matters
* Negotiate and settle litigation disputes
* Ensure compliance with export regulations
Requirements:
* Strong written and verbal English and Japanese skills
* Experience working at a technology company with emphasis on software licensing work and contract drafting skills
* Experience managing outside counsel
* Knowledge of the principals of US GAAP and revenue recognition rules within the software industry
* Commercial acumen
* A law degree and bar/law society membership in good standing, plus a minimum of 8 years' legal experience
