- A world-leading chemical company is hiring R&D Staff to drive innovation processes, support battery materials business activities, and conduct synthetic and analytical experiments. The ideal candidate has 5 years' experience at an R&D organization and familiarity with battery materials synthesis and electrochemical testing.

Responsibilities:
* Define, initiate, and head market-/customer-focused projects and product development; monitor, assess, and document progress
* Plan and conduct necessary experiments to meet project objectives
* Observe and assess market trends and competitors' activities
* Assist in technical aspects of business cases for R&D projects
* Give recommendations for new products, projects, or applications as part of the innovation chain process in consultation with project teams
* Ensure written communication of technical results for distribution beyond immediate working group
* Establish and extend contacts with operational units and scientific partners
* Accept, maintain, extend, and pass on existing and newly acquired knowledge
Requirements:
* 5+ years' experience at an R&D organization, plus experience managing projects
* Intimate knowledge of battery materials synthesis, electrochemical testing, analytics, and application
* Ability to manage budgets
* Demonstrate understanding of market needs in relation to products and innovation
* Ability to develop the competency of subordinates
