- A global technology and industrial company is hiring a Country Tax Manager to take the lead in managing both direct tax and indirect tax matters for all legal entities in Japan. Seeking a team player with 8 years' tax experience.

Responsibilities:
* Manage filing of corporate income tax returns; review indirect tax returns
* Manage optimization of income tax pre-payments; monitor indirect tax actual vs forecast
* Assume ownership of income tax accounts in accounting system and reporting under local and US GAAP, including account reconciliation, tax support for statutory financial statement audit, etc.
* Review reconciliation for indirect tax accounts
* Provide tax consultation to various functions on operational and business transactions; identify tax risks and planning opportunities
Requirements:
* A bachelor's/master's in finance or tax plus at least 8 years' tax experience with a focus on processes and proven leadership skills; Big 4 experience will be viewed favorably
* Local income tax and indirect tax expertise
* Local GAAP and US GAAP knowledge; ERP systems and Hyperion knowledge
* A team player with strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
* Excellent verbal and written English language skills
