- Reporting to the Associate Director of Finance, the successful Assistant Finance Manager will join a distinguished publishing company and oversee the general accounting, treasury, and taxation function in the Tokyo office. This role will also see you managing staff and working with outsource functions to provide solid finance support both locally and globally.

Responsibilities:
* Complete and submit financial management reports, including financial schedules to the Singapore office
* Complete and file all statutory reports and tax filing requirements
* Review and analyse sales revenue, COS and operating expenses
* Lead projects and represent the Japan office in the implementation of global projects
* Maintain good working relationships with banks
* Perform credit reviews
Requirements:
* A degree in any discipline; a degree in accountancy preferred
* A self-starter with 5+ years' solid accounting knowledge in any industry with a foreign multinational company
* Knowledge of P&L, cash flow, and return on investment (ROI) implications of business decisions
* Highly organized
* Can effectively manage conflict
* Written and spoken proficiency in English and Japanese
