- Great chance to join an acclaimed building design company! Seeking an experienced Finance Team Lead with a finance/accounting background to join the firm and provide overall support to business strategy and commercial initiatives. Reporting to the Japan Office Manager, you will work closely with various stakeholders including project delivery teams and group leaders.

Responsibilities:
* Provide first line support to the Japan Group Leader in managing the group's projects from a commercial perspective and ensuring compliance with regional policies at various stages of project life cycle
* Provide financial support in building up staff costs and charge rates, fee quotations, and other commercial advice on possible bids
* Produce management account financial reports; take the lead in managing invoicing and debt collection/credit control processes to improve the group's cash flow
* Assist in banking and treasury management; liaise with external accounting firms and lead statutory audits
* Review and supervise external accounting firms to ensure proper books and records are maintained in accordance with Japan rules and regulations
Requirements:
* A bachelor's degree holder in finance or accounting; for candidates who do not meet this requirement, some accounting experience is essential
* Relevant experience obtained at a multinational organization
* Strong understanding of statutory and legislative compliance
* Commercial experience in business trend analysis and a proven track record in performance improvement
* A good command of both written and spoken English
* Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
