- Time to put your sales skills to great use! A global materials science company is looking for a Sales Manager to join the Tokyo office and pioneer new business opportunities. Additionally, you will identify customer needs and connect global entities with opportunities in Japan.

Responsibilities:
* Identify key customer needs and information regarding new product development
* Initiate and lead collaboration with key customers to develop new products by thoroughly understanding customers' R&D capabilities and the company's innovative early stage technologies
* Interface with R&D researchers and process engineers
* Assess new business opportunities with respect to market size and competition
* Connect global entities with new business opportunities in Japan
Requirements:
* A BA or MA in engineering or chemistry from a major university in Japan; an MBA from a major school in Japan, the US, or Europe
* Commercial experience in B2B business in Japan
* Prior sales and/or marketing experience at a manufacturer, preferably obtained at a major company
* Native level Japanese and complete fluency in English
* Excellent communication skills sufficient for presenting, negotiating, and reporting in two languages
* Basic marketing and finance knowledge
