- A major components manufacturer in the automotive industry is searching for an individual with cost accounting skills and bilingual English/Japanese business language skills to join them as a Cost Estimator. Responsibilities:
* Develop OEM quotes including labour and overhead rates, variances, administrative charges nad financial analysis for all new products in compliance
* Manage/support the costing process with purchasing, manufacturing and cost engineering
* Adhere to stated deadlines for the development of accurate pricing and prepare financial quote packages for management review
* Participate on NPIS and product launch teams to include travel plans to plants as required
* Read, analyse and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations; write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals such as those required for TS 16949 compliance
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Finance or equivalent experience/knowledge
* A successful track record of cost/pricing analysis in program management teams
* An in-depth knowledge of cost accounting methods and procedures
* Knowledge of customer platform programs and negotiating strategies
* Business Japanese/English
