An international technology company is looking for a Bilingual L2 Database Support Engineer.Responsibilities:
* Provide L2 support for RDBMS platforms, including incident resolution, service requests and operational activities
* Troubleshoot PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server and Oracle database issues
* Handle P1, P2 and P3 incidents and restore database services within defined SLAs
* Investigate database issues related to IaaS infrastructure, including VM/OS, storage, CPU, memory, disk I/O and network connectivity
Requirements:
* 5-10 years of hands-on experience in DBA and database production support
* Strong hands-on PostgreSQL experience
* Good hands-on experience in MySQL
* Working knowledge of MS SQL Server and Oracle
* Strong SQL and database performance troubleshooting skills
* Experience with backup and recovery, replication, HA/DR and database monitoring
* Strong experience with AWS database services, preferably RDS or Aurora
* Good understanding of IaaS environments, including Linux/Unix, VM, storage, CPU/memory, disk I/O and network troubleshooting
* Fluent level Japanese and English
Preferred requirements:
* Python, Bash/Shell or PowerShell scripting
* CloudWatch, GCP Monitoring, Grafana, Prometheus or Datadog
* ServiceNow or Jira experience
* Possess a valid AWS or GCP certification
