Analytical leadership on high-stakes initiatives like competitor research, profitability analysis・Provide analytical support and thought leadership expertise on Global Markets’ strategy initiatives, with a focus on strategic development, long term business growth, and overall positioning
・Stakeholder Management including supporting client relationships, proactively managing conflicts, issues and risks, collaborate with stakeholders, and engaging on relevant levels
・Identify, analyze and monitor issues that affect profitability, growth, and productivity
・Conduct competitor/industry research and analysis leveraging both public and non-public sources
・Research and analyze business profitability and macroeconomic indicators, analyze specific client segments, conduct acquisition screening, perform strategic due diligence
・Prepare management presentations including business plans/reviews, offsite presentations, town halls
・Work closely with Global GM and Wholesale Strategy team on broader firm-wide initiatives

Candidate should have 8+ years’ experience in a strategy role, ideally in peer bank or a consulting firm or a strategy/business planning unit of a financial institution
Strong analytical skills, including ability to develop financial models and perform data analysis
Strong PowerPoint and Excel proficiency
Problem solving and creative thinking skills a key
Strong communications skills (verbal and written) in English, Japan language knowhow preferable (not compulsory), and ability to interact confidently with senior business leadership on a range of topics
Interest in the wider Investment Banking and Capital Markets industry including key trends and market dynamics including Market Structure, Fintech, Regulations
Ability to work on multiple projects and initiatives
