An international natural resources company is looking for a Senior Accountant.Responsibilities:
* Manage IFRS month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations
* Prepare statutory financial statements in line with local GAAP
* Support accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
* Assist with tax reporting, transfer pricing files, and regulatory submissions
* Review and process employee expenses ensuring compliance with standards
* Perform monthly intercompany and bank reconciliations
* Support internal and external audits with documentation and issue resolution
* Contribute to budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, and financial systems implementation
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* 1-3 years of post-qualification experience in the commodities industry
* Knowledge of Japanese accounting standards and regulations
* Proficient in SAP FICO preferred
* Advanced skills in MS Excel
* Possess a valid Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA or CPA)
* Native level Japanese; advanced level written and verbal English
