We are seeking a highly capable Finance & Accounting Manager to lead all finance activities across Japan and South Korea.This is a strategic and business-oriented finance role, combining FP&A, controlling, and oversight of outsourced accounting and tax operations.
The position reports directly to the Japan Country Manager with a dotted line to the APAC Finance Director, and collaborates closely with the Korea General Manager.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a multinational, entrepreneurial environment with high exposure and decision-making autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial & Business Performance Leadership
Lead performance analysis across customers, channels, and brands
Deliver accurate and timely reporting, profitability analysis, and variance insights
Guide commercial teams with scenario planning and data-driven recommendations
Monitor customer profitability and coordinate cross-functional action plans
2. Strategic Business Partnering
Support local leadership in strategic decision-making and market development
Provide independent financial perspectives and challenge assumptions
Identify efficiencies, growth levers, and business model improvements
3. FP&A & Controlling Excellence
Manage forecast, budget, and business review cycles
Ensure alignment with global finance processes, dashboards, and standards
Promote transparency and consistency across Japan & South Korea
4. Accounting, Tax & Compliance Oversight
Supervise outsourced accounting, tax, and treasury partners
Ensure compliance with local regulations and IFRS
Oversee statutory reporting and tax filings
Maintain high ethical and governance standards

-Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
-Minimum 5 years of experience in FP&A, controlling, or finance partner roles
-Strong command of P&L management, profitability analysis, and financial modelling
-FMCG or B2C business acumen
-Experience in multinational organizations preferred
-Fluent English (Japanese is a plus but not mandatory)
-Experience managing outsourced accounting providers
-Strategic, collaborative, analytical, accountable, and integrity-driven mindset
