【About your role】
• The successful candidate is expected to operate in partnership with business managers in Japan as a trusted advisor for them to achieve their business goals and objectives by effectively delivering solutions for the people agenda.
• The candidate is expected to act as a business partner to ensure that the people agenda is reflected in all decisions and aligned to achieving desired business outcomes.
• The candidate will report to the Head of HR in Japan and deliver innovative and future driven business focused HR initiatives mainly for the Technology, Operations, General Counsel, Finance, Communication, Product & Marketing.
• The candidate is also expected to coach and support managers to grow their leadership and management capabilities as we look to embed new leaders into the organization.
• In addition to the HR Business partner role, the candidate is expected to work on organization/talent development and Learning & development.
• The candidate is expected to work with other HR colleagues to maximise the effectiveness of the HR Group and to contribute to the implementation of appropriate HR initiatives.

• 5-10 years of HRBP experience of working in a customer focused, dynamic, commercially driven environment: preferably Financial Services
• Highly collegiate, ability to work well with colleagues across the range of HR Centers of Expertise, sharing ideas and building on best practice, with proven ability to leverage their domain experience and capabilities
• Ability to navigate and build strong relationships and credibility with proven skills at partnering with managers and senior leaders.
• Must have first-hand knowledge of Japan labour laws and labour practices in Japan as well as proven ability to evaluate risks and to effectively address and manage the cases.
• Business oriented mentality and commercial mind with strategic thinking
• Good interpersonal skill and communication skill including negotiation / assertiveness
• Great attention to details, excellent organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks
• Logical thinking with strong analytical skills and ability to drive innovation.
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as HR Analytics
• Great mastery of Microsoft office tools including excel / data insight, PPT and other innovative technology tools.
• Strong awareness of confidentiality
• Fluent English and Japanese in both speaking and written.
※Japanese: Fluent – Native level (Equivalent to JLPT N1)
