【業務内容詳細】
Reporting Line: Head of People, Japan
Dotted Reporting Line: Global Payroll & Benefits Lead
Team Structure: 3-member HR team
Role Objective
- Partner with the Head of People to support people strategy and business growth in Japan.
- Lead accurate and compliant payroll operations while acting as an HR business partner to local managers.
- Support workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement, and HR initiatives aligned with global HR strategy.
- Newly created role with exposure to both payroll and HRBP functions and regular collaboration with European HR teams.
< Payroll Operations >
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, including data management, compliance, year-end tax adjustments, and audit support.
- Manage payroll systems and coordinate with external payroll, tax, benefits, and time & attendance vendors.
- Process & Stakeholder Support
- Improve payroll processes and systems.
- Act as the main contact for payroll inquiries and partner with HR and Finance on budgeting and headcount.
- Prepare payroll reports (labor costs, overtime, monthly summaries) and support financial closing, forecasting, audits, and metrics reporting.
< HR Business Partner >
- Deliver people strategy and global/regional HR projects with the Head of People.
- Provide end-to-end HR support in Japan (recruitment, talent management, employee relations, engagement).
- Drive company culture, values, and employer branding.
- Advise managers on employee relations, performance, and compensation.
- Support employee well-being, including retail locations as needed.

- 必須
-
- 5+ years of payroll experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience with payroll software (e.g., Workday, SAP, or other HRIS/ERP systems).
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, labor laws, and tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll analytics.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
- Experience in multinational organizations or global payroll environments.
- Professional qualification in labor and social security law (Sharoushi) is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Proficient communication skills in both Japanese and English.
- High level of English proficiency (TOEIC 700+ or equivalent).
