The selected candidate will lead OPEX planning and analysis for R&D and enabling functions while supporting Japan market P&L consolidation and strategic financial decision making. This is a hybrid setup role.

An international biotechnology company is looking for a Manager or Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis.Responsibilities:
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly variance analysis for R&D and enabling functions
* Partner with functional leaders to deliver financial insights and support resource allocation
* Monitor spending trends, risks, and opportunities and propose actions to improve performance
* Manage monthly business review preparation and ensure data accuracy and consistency
* Support monthly Japan market P&L consolidation across revenue, COGS, and OPEX
* Prepare management reporting packages and clear financial narratives
* Support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning cycles
* Provide analytical support for headcount planning and organisational initiatives
* Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance financial operations in Japan
Requirements:
* More than 5 years of experience in FP&A, business planning, management accounting, or related fields
* Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
* Proficient in financial analysis, data interpretation, and management reporting
* Skilled in MS Office Suite
* Proficient in Japanese and English
Preferred requirements:
* Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry
* Familiarity with R&D finance or project-based accounting
* Experience with ERP systems, including SAP
* Exposure to global FP&A or matrix organisations
* Experience using BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
