A leading international investment banking organisation is seeking a Japan Finance Manager.Responsibilities:
* Prepare financial statements in IFRS and JGAAP for group and local reporting
* Manage financial operations including budgeting, cost analysis, and vendor payments
* Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulators for statutory and compliance requirements
* Oversee capital adequacy calculations and board reporting
* Coordinate with global shared service centers for accounting processes
* Drive process improvements and support financial analysis for new business initiatives
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or above
* Experience in finance/accounting operating with ERP and accounting software in financial services industry
* Understanding of IFRS, JGAAP, corporate income tax, and C-tax
* Proficient in written and spoken Japanese and English
Preferred requirements:
* Prior securities brokerage industry experience is desired (specifically in Japan Financial Services Agency reporting and Capital Adequacy Ratio calculation)
* Possess valid accounting, bookkeeping, and/or taxation certification will be an advantage
