A multinational healthcare technology company is seeking a Legal and Compliance Counsel Manager.Responsibilities:
* Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on contracts, agreements, and legal documents
* Provide legal and compliance advice to support business decision-making
* Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, industry codes, and anti-corruption requirements
* Execute compliance strategies to mitigate legal and regulatory risks in operations
* Develop and deliver legal, compliance, and privacy training programs for employees
* Manage team members and oversee day-to-day legal operations
* Control the legal budget and monitor expenditure risks
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or above in law
* 8-10 years of relevant post-qualification legal experience
* Experience in law firm and in-house legal environments
* Proven experience advising on commercial, corporate, and compliance matters
* Strong legal academic credentials
* Possess a valid license to practice law in Japan or another jurisdiction preferred
* Fluent level Japanese; business level English
Preferred requirements:
* Legal education from a Commonwealth jurisdiction
* Prior experience in healthcare related industry
* Experience in compliance-related work
* Possess a valid licence to practice law in Japan or another jurisdiction
