The position holder will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of business-critical applications across Japan operations.This role will support both retail and office environments, working closely with local business users, regional IT teams, and external vendors to deliver timely solutions and enhancements.
【Major Responsibilities】
Provide Level 1 and 2 support for business applications, including but not limited to ERP(SAP ECC), POS, CRM.
Troubleshoot and resolve application incidents, escalating to Regional IT or vendors when necessary
Monitor application performance and proactively identify areas for improvement
Collaborate with business users to gather requirements for enhancements and minor projects
Coordinate with regional IT and vendors for system upgrades, patches, and testing
Maintain accurate documentation for application configurations, support procedures, and issue logs
Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and provide IT solutions that meet their needs.
Ensure compliance with IT policies, including SOX and information security and data privacy standards
Participate in user training and knowledge transfer sessions
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in IT service delivery
*Occasionally Travel is required.

Mandatory:
Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science / Information System or related disciplines
5+ years of IT experience in a sizable organization handling applications support, ideally with exposure to the retail sector
Hands-on experience supporting integrated SAP ECC, Point-of-Sales (POS) system, CRM system
Patience, detail-oriented and service-focused, with strong interpersonal skills
High competency in troubleshooting, with the ability to plan and organize logically
Fluency in written and spoken skills for both Japanese and English.
※Japanese: Fluent – Native level (Equivalent to JLPT N1)

Exposure to Salesforce platform (Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Salesforce Loyalty Management or MuleSoft)
Experience working with APIs, middleware, and third-party integrations
Exposure to IT SOX compliance
