Analyze data from Rakuten Bank, Rakuten Group, and external sources to plan and propose new services, supporting front-office decisions.
Develop data infrastructure (databases, BI tools) and promote a data-driven culture through study sessions and knowledge sharing.
Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Account Management, Customer Center) and Rakuten Group companies (e.g., Rakuten Card) to drive data utilization.

Must have:
5+ years of experience in data analysis using Python, R, or SQL.
Proficiency in data extraction and analysis using SQL databases.
Familiarity with Linux commands (shell/shell scripting).
Basic understanding of statistics and machine learning.
Experience building reports and dashboards with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, MicroStrategy, Power BI).
Strong communication skills to understand others and convey ideas clearly.
Logical thinking for efficient, rational decision-making.
Problem-solving skills to identify core needs and develop solutions through hypothesis testing.
Business English required; Japanese not needed
Nice to have:
Proficiency in Japanese at any level
Experience in data analysis and development within the banking industry.
Proven track record in leading analysis projects.
Familiarity with public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
Knowledge of web access analysis.
Experience in building, operating, and maintaining data warehouses or data marts.
Proficiency in VBA development.
Experience in model development.
Skilled in data processing (ETL/ELT).
