An international investment company is looking for a VP - Compliance.Responsibilities:
* Assist with the development, implementation and administration of the Japan compliance framework and policies
* Conduct monitoring and surveillance of trading activities to detect and prevent market abuse, insider trading and other violations
* Investigate and resolve alerts generated by trade surveillance systems, escalating any potential issues to the appropriate stakeholders
* Work on regional projects including system UAT, new investment models discussion, or system development
* Conduct or assist with inspections and regulatory filings or requests
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or above in business, finance, or law
* More than 7 years of experience in compliance (brokerage or asset management firm is preferred)
* Strong computer skills - MS Office Suite (MS Excel) and Bloomberg
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Proficient in Python, or VBA is a plus
* Fluent level English and Japanese
