A global chemical company is looking for an R&D Scientist Automotive.Responsibilities:
* Develop lubrication technologies for internal combustion engines and alternative fuels
* Formulate new engine oil products and improve existing formulations based on research and development requests
* Design and conduct non-standardised tests to qualify lubricants and competitor products
* Focus on experimental lubricants for motorsport and powersport teams, enhancing performance
* Research and integrate additives and innovative components into formulations
* Collaborate with internal R&D teams, OEMs, and third-party organisations on research projects
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or above in Formulation, Organic Chemistry, or Mechanical Engineering
* More than 5 years of experience in automotive lubricant formulation, including engine oils and additives
* Proven experience with rheology measurements and tribological phenomena
* Knowledge of oil & gas industry trends and safety regulations
* Proficient in drafting and communicating scientific results and performing laboratory analyses
* Native level Japanese (JLPT N1); proficient in English
