A global eCommerce company is looking for an Associate Corporate Counsel.Responsibilities:
* Advise senior business leaders on compliance with the Japan Act on Improving Transparency and Fairness of Digital Platforms
* Manage legal analysis and communications related to the Transparency Act across all business sectors
* Counsel on business initiatives and address legal issues arising from them
* Collaborate with Outside Counsel for legal review and compliance
* Coordinate with legal and public policy teams, both locally and internationally
* Engage with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and external stakeholders on regulatory matters
Requirements:
* 2-5 years of PQE legal experience at a top global or Japanese law firm or in-house legal department
* Experience as a litigation or regulatory attorney
* Prior in-house experience or as outside counsel for an eCommerce company is preferred
* Possess valid Japan, US, or other law qualification
* Bilingual level Japanese and English
