A global IT consulting company is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel.Responsibilities:
* Support the commercial legal work on all phases of deals, from proposal reviews to post-signature advisement
* Negotiate and draft commercial IT contracts, including Framework Agreements, Software Agreements, and Cloud Services Agreements
* Collaborate with the legal team to offer innovative solutions and conduct training on compliance
* Participate in global initiatives and international transactions as part of the global legal team
* Advise on employment law and data protection law issues in Japan
* Provide ancillary legal support, including legal sign-off on deals and liaising with stakeholders and external lawyers
* Oversee the company's Ethics and Compliance program in Japan as the designated officer
Requirements:
* 8-12 years of experience as a lawyer in a law firm or in-house IT and/or Consulting firm experience
* Proven experience in drafting and negotiating IT agreements directly with clients
* Experience with data privacy law in Japan is ideal
* Excellent understanding of general commercial and contract law principles, including Data Privacy and Intellectual Property
* Ability to manage and lead complex projects, including high-value bids and transactions
* Bilingual level Japanese and English
