A global automotive solutions company is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel - Compliance.Responsibilities:
* Implement compliance policies and procedures, ensuring global alignment and risk mitigation in Japan and Korea
* Create and lead compliance training programs for employees, both online and in-person
* Investigate compliance concerns raised in Japan and Korea, managing external counsel
* Support business-led compliance initiatives and liaise between business units and corporate compliance
* Assist internal audit by defining controls, reviewing metrics, and ensuring adherence to audit plans
* Provide legal support to Sales, Marketing, and Purchasing teams, developing contract terms with manufacturers and suppliers
Requirements:
* Bar admission in Japan or any common law jurisdiction
* 7-15 years of experience in a reputable law firm or multinational corporation
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Proven ethical leadership and integrity
* Proficient in verbal and written English and Japanese
