A global eCommerce company is looking for a Government Relations Manager.Responsibilities:
* Monitor and analyse legislative and regulatory developments related to platform transparency, consumer protection, and data privacy
* Establish and maintain relationships with government officials, regulators, industry associations, and other relevant stakeholders
* Prepare reports and communicate with stakeholders regarding the digital platform Transparency Act
* Develop and execute strategies to enhance transparency and fairness
* Represent the company at government hearings, industry events, and coalition meetings
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a cohesive approach to policy challenges
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or above
* More than 8 years of experience in government relations in Japan
* Experience in campaign (company, government, trade association, or similar employer)
* Prior experience in a related field (eCommerce, internet, and information technology) is a plus
* Proven experience in planning and legal work in a government agency is preferred
* Knowledge of Japan's policy environment (government entities and public policy community)
* Business level Japanese and English
