A global technology organisation is looking for a Country Financial Controller.Responsibilities:
* Prepare and manage all regulatory reporting and research technical accounting issues to ensure compliance
* Act as a liaison between the HQ and other stakeholders such as tax authorities, auditing partners or operational teams in the region
* Identify control risks, develop, and implement internal controls together with internal controls team
* Participate in key cross-functional projects including control enhancements, process automation, system implementations
* Maintain and develop SOX level documentation for any financial tasks
* Identify, validate, and implement strategic opportunities to enhance data quality
* Develop local accounting and reporting processes, lead local financial system enhancement projects
* Guide and advise local accounting team member in complex accounting issues
Requirements:
* Master's degree or above in accounting
* Practical experience with local statutory accounting and tax compliance
* Prior leadership experience
* Previous with IFRS reporting in a multinational environment
* Solid background in relevant bookkeeping or accounting roles from a multinational company
* Experience in NetSuite is a plus
* Possess a valid CPA or ACCA qualification
* Fluent level written and verbal Japanese and English
