A global real estate investment company is searching for a Compliance professional.Responsibilities:
* Responsible for financial crime prevention and maintaining and updating compliance and AML policies
* Work collaboratively with the global compliance team on group compliance topics
* Develop, maintain, and update the compliance monitoring program and perform compliance tests
* Conduct KYC checks and draft regular compliance and AML reports
* Perform compliance trainings for staff on local regulatory topics and deliver staff updates
* Provide advice and support on compliance & AML related topics to the business
* Work on regulatory changes projects, assist with KYC queries from counterparties, act as liaison with MOF/JFSA and other relevant regulatory & enforcement bodies
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in law is ideal
* More than 5 years of experience in a Japanese focused compliance role
* Practical experience as a compliance or regulatory consultant in a regulated law firm, Big4, any specialist firm, or relevant government body
* Prior experience in compliance monitoring
* Experience in the field of Compliance and AML at an JFSA licensed entity
* Understanding of local regulations
* Proven track record within compliance gained within real estate asset management, compliance consultancy, or government bodies
* Knowledge of corporate legal matters is ideal
* Proficient in written and verbal Japanese and English
