A VP Japan Country Compliance position is now available at a global investment banking company.Responsibilities:
* Manage interactions with various regulatory bodies
* Act as the lead member of the Project Management Office during regulatory inspections
* Make regular and regulatory filings and maintain proper entity licencing
* Oversee daily regulatory notification dissemination work
* Lead periodic monitoring meetings for regulatory and legislative changes among various stakeholders
* Set standards and provide guidance for country-wide regulatory topics such as privacy law, outsourcing governance, firewall regulation and client information handling
* Manage reporting and local governance - timely coordination of periodic reporting of Compliance topics to Executive Committee and Management Committee
Requirements:
* Practical experience in financial industry as Compliance Officer
* Prior team or people management experience
* Knowledge of local regulations
* Previous legal study background
* Strong project management skills
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills
* Native level Japanese; business level English
