In this role you will provide leadership, strategy, and execution for warehousing, domestic transportation, international freight, customs brokerage, inventory management, planning & purchasing, and 3PL service provider management.

A global manufacturer of various medical equipment is in search of a Logistics Director to manage overall logistics operations in Tokyo.Responsibilities:
* Plan, develop, and maintain ongoing performance monitoring and evaluation to ensure that operational goals and objectives are achieved
* Lead and directly manage the logistics, supply planning & purchasing, and delivery fulfilment teams
* Oversee overall Inventory management and control
* Review and forecast purchasing requirements and planning needs with stakeholders and management
* Ensure service level agreements (SLA) with sales and service organizations are met and/or exceeded
* Lead the negotiation and management of various operations contracts
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related discipline
* 15+ years' experience in supply chain/logistics operations, procurement, and planning at both strategic and operational levels
* Strong understanding of the healthcare industry (or a related industry)
* Working knowledge of SAP
* Verbal and written fluency in English
