- A global fashion company is looking for an individual with substantial experience working in logistics/supply chain and strong communications skills to assume the position of Purchasing Manager. A keen interest in the cosmetics industry is a plus. The candidate selected for this role will implement buying strategies, provide buying input, and maintain best practices in supplier relationship management.

Responsibilities:
* Implement buying strategies, saving targets, and Performance Management Program (SPMP)
* Provide buying input and planning support, ensuring compliance and improvements where necessary
* Conduct research on existing and potential suppliers including the use of non-traditional methods of sourcing new suppliers, i.e., market intelligence
* Share ideas, technical knowledge, and market information with colleagues
* Maintain and strengthen relationships with internal departments, (e.g. Branding, Supply Chain, Sales & Marketing, Legal) and external suppliers
Requirements:
* A bachelor's degree
* 5+ years' work experience with 3 years handling promotional items, general office affairs, logistics, and supplier development
* Strong commercial awareness
* Experience in the cosmetics industry advantageous
* A solid command of English, written and verbal
* Japanese fluency, written and verbal
