The main responsibilities are as follows:
Work closely with regional and global colleagues in the legal team on a range of matters relating to the
Japan business
Negotiate, draft and review contracts and agreements concerning the company's retail operations such
as lease and concession agreements, as well as other general commercial contracts
Manage external counsel to deliver cost effective legal support
Handle any disputes or litigation matters in Japan, in conjunction with regional Director

The main requirements are:
At least 5 years' experience working in-house with a legal team or at a law firm
Experience in handling corporate and commercial matters under Japanese law, in English and Japanese
Exposure to retail industry in Japan strongly preferred
Bar qualification an advantage but not necessary
Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese
Flexible attitude with strong commercial focus
