A global medical device company is looking for a Government Affairs Manager.Responsibilities:
* Advise and counsel the company's executives on public policy and governmental matters
* Help develop the company's government relations and public policy strategy and agenda in Japan
* Develop relationships with trade organizations and strategic industry groups in order to influence legislation, regulations, and public policy that affect the industry and advance the company's interests
* Develop relationships with key government officials and their staff
* Assist in government business transactions with Ministries of Health, Finance and other relevant government agencies
* Lead the development of public affairs strategies to increase awareness of the benefits of radiation therapy
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree
* 7+ years' legislative, governmental agency, and/or trade or industry association experience and experience within the private sector in increasingly responsible government relations/external affairs roles
* Experience working in the medical capital equipment or medical device industry
* Experience in developing partnerships with trade associations and other industry partners
* Fluency in both English and Japanese
