A major multinational pharmaceutical company is seeking a Government Affairs & Health Policy Director.Responsibilities:
* Build strong relationships with both internal and external key stakeholders to discuss issues and to support the company's policy positions and priorities
* Monitor legislation and policy initiatives and analyze their impact on the company's strategic objectives
* Work closely and collaboratively with the company teams to shape and deliver proactive cross-company initiatives and respond to opportunities or manage issues that arise
* Lead and coordinate the development and implementation of external outreach programs and advocacy plans
* Represent the company in industry associations and contribute to their advocacy work
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree, preferably in Law, Political Science, Business, or Communications
* 3+ years' experience in government affairs, a health policy function, or in a consultancy/think tank/government
* Strong understanding of Japan health policy and system
* Understanding of decision-making processes and legislative procedures
* Fluency in both English and Japanese
