- Excellent opportunity to join a global engineering firm as a Functional Engineer, an exciting role that will see you serving as a team leader, interfacing with customers, and analysing data. This position requires an experienced professional with a background in computer or electrical/electronic engineering and ideally bilingual language skills.

Responsibilities:
* Serve as team leader or sub-leader for projects at customer sites
* Perform requirement analysis, software integration, and problem analysis
* Attend team meetings and represent the team in meetings with customers or other vendors
* Communicate with customers and understand their needs - both explicit and implicit
* Be a part of requirement discussions and transfer the same to offshore teams with proper documentation
* Analyse data and create reports
Requirements:
* A BA or MA in Engineering - computer, electronics, or electrical
* 3-7 years' experience as a software engineer with expertise in requirement analysis, requirement tracking, and software integration
* Exposure to software development lifecycle and processes
* Native level Japanese proficiency and business level English proficiency
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Automotive domain experience; knowledge of data analysis procedures
